El nivel básico está dirigido a las personas que desean iniciar su aprendizaje del idioma inglés con una base sólida. Este nivel está dividido en dos fases, A y B, en las que se trabajan objetivos específicos que le permitirán obtener vocabulario y expresiones que se utilizan en situaciones diarias lo que le permitirá desde el inicio escuchar y expresarse de manera adecuada en forma oral en inglés. Además aprenderá la función de algunas palabras que son usadas de manera diferente en español para que pueda leer con comprensión y escribir correctamente en inglés.
La fase 1.B. incluye los siguientes objetivos:

Level 1B. Objective 1 – Subject, Personal PronounsEn inglés, igual que en español, usamos palabras para indicar quién hace la acción. Estas palabras se usan para introducir un verbo y pueden ser un nombre: José, María, el niño, el profesor, la clase, un perro, los estudiantes, las mamás, mis primos, los animales, las horas, etc. o un pronombre: yo/I… ETC. Algunos pronombres sustituyen nombres, por ej. Después de mencionar a José podemos decir HE. Después de mencionar a María podemos decir: SHE. Después de mencionar un animal (the dog) o cosa (the class) podemos sustituirlos por IT. De manera similar, al mencionar personas, animales o cosas en plural podemos sustituirlos usando THEY. En inglés usamos el verbo TO BE en combinación con las diferentes personas, de la manera siguiente:
- Yo: I am.
- El (hablando de un hombre) He is.
- Ella (hablando de una mujer) She is.
- Este, este, esto (hablando de un animal o cosa) It is.
- Usted o ustedes (hablando de la persona o personas frente a quien habla) You are.
- Nosotros o nosotras (hablando de otras personas y yo) We are.
- Ellos, ellas, estos, estas, esos, esas (hablando de personas, animales o cosas en plural) They are.
